Sound therapy workshops are designed to inspire, entertain and educate people through the medium of music so that a person has an opportunity to open the door and begin a journey to reach their full potential. My belief is that through the introduction of creativity, a deeper and powerfully positive energy can be re-ignited in any one of us.
I fully believe that Creative Energy can propel us along paths that we may never have anticipated and enhance the power of our positive choices. A creative idea has its own energy field and can generate the synchronistic involvement of people and circumstances required to carry the idea through to the next stage of life.
In my workshops I use the rhythm of drums, and the language of music to show the relevance of creativity in everyday life. For instance, overcoming a new percussion instrument is the same as overcoming a new work problem if you are a student, postman or architect. Not listening to the bass player in the band, can be as damaging as not listening to work colleagues or peers in ones own line of work. Ignoring the sound of the smallest bell, triangle or finger cymbal, is as harmful as ignoring the smallest details when a person is trying to achieve anything in their life.
The important thing is to show the relevance of rhythm, in our heart beat, our foot steps and our breath, and the significance of music and all creative thought as described above, therefore instilling the workshops relevance long after the day has finished.
Our workshops aim to unlock the hidden potential within each and every one of us using the power of a creative force. To suddenly realise you are capable of something you thought was “out of reach” – like playing a drum – leads on to think “What else am I capable of?”
Suffering arises from looking outside of oneself for the cause or solution to problems. The only person whose behavior you control is yourself, that power should be used to the utmost. Work from the inside out.
